Salary: $13.50 to $17 per hour. · Provide administrative support: Answer phones, respond to emails, direct inquiries to appropriate personnel. Schedule inspections and meetings for code enforcement officer and building inspector. Maintain office supplies and equipment. · Recordkeeping: Process code violation reports, notices and citations. Maintain accurate records, including inspection reports, photographs and correspondence. Update databases or systems used for tracking code enforcement cases. · Customer Service: Assist property owners, tenants and businesses with inquiries about code violations and compliance requirements. Provide information on municipal codes and regulations. · Documentation: Prepare letters, memos, and legal notices related to code violations. Review documents for accuracy and completeness before filing or distribution. Handle confidential information with discretion. · Coordination: Track deadlines for hearings or compliance and ensure proper follow-up. · Financial Transactions: Process payments for fines, fees or permits. Maintain accurate financial records related to citations and penalties. Experience with office software such as Microsoft word and Excel Programs. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Familiarity with municipal codes, zoning law, or regulatory processes (or a willingness to learn). Experience with recordkeeping and data entry. Attention to detail and discretion with sensitive information. High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in an administrative or clerical role, preferably in a government or legal setting. Hours: 8:00-5:00 Monday through Friday Must be willing to occasionally work beautification meetings and planning and zoning meetings.
